I could never imagine life without dogs or kids! So as my own 4 kids grew up, I adopted 5 more! Same with my dogs, they are part of our family and we love them all! Over the years we have had some awesome dogs, both big and small. My great love was for the German Shepherd, we have had 2. Awesome family dogs, smart, loving, easy to train. Living in the middle of nowhere I like to have a big dog or 2 just to put off any unwanted visitors! After our last GSD, we went with a sable headed white Rough Collie, Dylan what a sweetheart but such a suck! I wanted/needed another GSD, but couldn't find the right one. With some unreputable breeders out there and somehow the GSD seemed to be getting smaller! I wanted something bigger! We looked at the Newfoundland (drools so that's out!) The Pyrenees (wanders) Bernese Mountain dog (awesome but hard to get right markings and that would drive me nuts!) so...researched it to death...and then....found THE SHILOH SHEPHERD, good old fashioned BIG dog! Bred with a softer nature than the GSD, less hip problems, comes in regular and plush coat!!! AWESOME .... SOLD!! I knew I wanted to breed dogs, this was THEE perfect dog.So we put our names down and got "pink girl" our 1st Breed quality Shiloh, who we named AVA.
From an excellent background she has totally surpassed our every hope! She is a dream! Very smart, clean, obedient, and most of all loves us as much as we love her! (we hope!) . She is absolutely amazing with my 5 adopted kids who are all special needs in some way. She is everywhere they are. If they are on the trampoline, shes under it! Sits by the swing set, and even goes in the clubhouse to play tea parties!! One night she woke me with a weird howling...oh no, she needs to go out at 3am! so i nudged the hubby awake (don't have a dog and bark yourself right?) and told him Ava must need to go out. He obliged bless him, but then one of the kids was awake now grrr! the dog woke the kids? but then McKayla was sick! This happened a few times before we realized it wasn't the dog waking the kids up, it was the kids needing something or not well and Ava was alerting us!! So now when/if the dog howls we just fly out of bed and say "who's sick"!! What an amazing dog! She has maded an awesome momma and produce awesome all round good family dogs! We will be breeding her again sometime July- September 2013 (all her health checks came back fine!). Haven't had her weighed recently but she was approx 27" at withers and about 102lbs! so looking good! Click on the next few pages and see how shes growing!!
